BROOKVILLE Bradford used a
28-13 third-quarter advantage to get a 71-53 win over Brookville in D9 League action Tuesday night at Brookville. The Owls (5-1 overall, 3-0 D9
League) led 30-24 at halftime but blew the game open with the big third quarter. We really played rather
lethargic in the first half, especially defensively, Bradford head coach Dave Fuhrman said. In the third
quarter, we did a much better job of exploiting our size advantage and getting the ball inside. We also picked up
the defensive intensity a little bit. Once again, balanced scoring
was the key for the Owls as they placed four players in double figures. Ryan LaBrozzi led Bradford with 19 points,
seven assists and six steals, while 6-foot-5 center Ben Lanich added another double-double with 15 points and 18
rebounds. Ben was pretty dominant
around the basket, particularly in the second half with his scoring and rebounding, Fuhrman said. Randy Confer and Drew Kelly
each chipped in with 13 points for Bradford with Confer also adding nine rebounds helping the Owls outrebound
Brookville 39-19. Senior guard Joe Galbraith led
Brookville (3-4, 0-2) with 17 points, while Alex Beatty added 12. Bradford flies to Florida
Wednesday to participate in the KSAC Events Pre-Holiday Classic at Disney World. The Owls play Melbourne High from
Melbourne, Fla., a 5 p.m. Thursday in their opening game. BRADFORD 71, BROOKVILLE 53 Score By Quarters Bradford 20 10
