SHINGLEHOUSE - Jordan
Crane continued his strong play with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Cameron County to a 54-28 win at Oswayo
Valley Wednesday night. Crane has now scored 49
points and grabbed 40 rebounds in his last three games and is 20 points shy of 1,000 in his career. It was Cameron County’s
third straight win and the Red Raiders eighth in nine tries with all but two of those games coming away from home.
Cameron County is now 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the D9 League a game back of first-place Coudersport. “I’m very pleased with
the team,” Cameron County head coach John Barnhart said. “They have proven themselves in a lot of areas. At the
same time, they will have to step it up in the second half of conference play and try to play a little better on
offense. But that will come in time. Right now, we have to take this one game at a time.” Against Oswayo Valley (5-11,
1-5), it took Cameron County some time to get going. The Red Raiders led 11-7 at the end of the first quarter and
31-21 at halftime before outscoring the Green Wave 23-7 in the second half including 14-0 in the fourth quarter. Jarek Holjencin added 10
points for Cameron County, while John Malizia had eight. Charlie Holjencin was reported to have handed out 13
assists. Coby Sebastian paced Oswayo
Valley with nine. CAMERON COUNTY 54, OSWAYO
