with a 48-40 victory over Union Thursday night in Rimersburg.
The Lady Indians (12-3 overall, 8-3 KSAC West), who missed their first 13 shots of the game, used a 9-0 fourth-quarter run to put the game away. Leading 33-31 early in the final frame, West Forest got five points from sophomore Geena Sneeringer and three from senior Jackie Lutz to open up a 42-31 lead with 4:26 left. Torri Smith then kept things going for the Golden Damsels at the start of the fourth quarter when she hit a jumper 11 seconds into the quarter to cut the West Forest lead to two points, 33-31. But Lutz answered with an old-school 3-point play to start the game-deciding 9-0 run. Lutz and Sneeringer led the Lady Indians with 14 points, while Erica Blum added 12.
