By Patrick Walker EMPORIUM – Behind 26 points from Jordan Crane, Cameron County beat Otto-Eldred 66-60 Thursday night in North Tier League boys’ basketball action. The Red Raiders (13-3 overall, 8-1 NTL) needed all of Crane’s points to hold off a pesky Otto-Eldred squad that got 22 points from Wayne Taylor including six 3-pointers. Things started out good for Cameron County, as they jumped to a 21-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 35-24 halftime lead. But the Terrors (8-10, 5-4) came back in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter where they outscored Cameron 28-22, and the Red Raiders didn’t put the game away until Crane went 4-for-4 from the free throw line. “It was getting a little uneasy there in the fourth quarter,” Cameron County head coach John Barnhart said. “But we overcame it.” Cameron County is back in action Monday when it hosts Coudersport in a first-place showdown. The Falcons are unbeaten in league play and a game up on the Red Raiders after beating Cameron County in Coudersport earlier this season. Otto-Eldred returns to action Monday at Smethport. NOTES – There were 13 3-pointers in the game including nine by Otto-Eldred … Daniel Sullivan topped Cameron County with three triples for nine points. Preston Woods added 10 points for Otto-Eldred … Otto was 5 of 5 from the free-throw line while Cameron was 12 of 22.
