EMPORIUM – Blair Heimel scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half while also hauling down 14 rebounds to lead Coudersport to a 48-36 win at Cameron County in a key North Tier League game Monday night.

With the victory, the Falcons (20-0 overall, 10-0 NTL) open up a commanding two-game lead over Cameron County (14-3, 8-2) with just four league games left. The lead is more like three games since Coudersport owns the tiebreaker with sweep of Cameron County.

While Heimel was the story in the first half, Derek Burdick was the story of the second scoring all 17 of his points in the second 16 minutes while canning four 3-pointers.

Meanwhile, Colton Corey led the Coudersport defense limiting Cameron County’s 1,000-point scorer Jordan Crane to zero first-half points. Crane didn’t reach the scoreboard until a couple of minutes into the second half. Crane finished with seven points

Coudersport led 23-15 at the half and then outscored Cameron County 25-21 in the second half.

Daniel Sullivan led Cameron County with 11 points.
