SHINGLEHOUSE – Kristy Kamper scored a game-high 29 points to lead Coudersport to a 58-36 win over Oswayo Valley Tuesday night in North Tier League girls’ basketball action at Oswayo Valley. Playing its second game in two nights, Coudersport (19-2 overall, 11-0 NTL), which scored the most points in at least eight years last night in an 86-36 win over Bradford, looked sluggish at times but rode a hot start from Kamper, she scored 22 of her 29 in the first half, to the victory. Kamper has now scored 101 points in her last four games (25.3 ppg). Coudersport, the top ranked overall and Class A team in the RRR Roadhouse/D9Sports.com District 9 rankings, led 16-10 at the end of the first quarter and built that lead to 34-21 at halftime. “Our energy level wasn’t as high as it was last night,” Coudersport head coach Brian Green said. “But we persevered and got a big game from Kristy.” Coudersport, winners of 18 straight, clinched a tie of at least their third straight NTL title with the win and can take the outright title with a win over Port Allegany Thursday.
