COUDERSPORT – Although they lack size, facing the Coudersport Lady Falcons’ defensive pressure can drive opposing coaches crazy.

Thursday Night, the Lady Falcons forced 20 first half turnovers, while posting runs of 9-0 and 15-2 in the first half, to post their 19th consecutive victory, a 61-36 win over DuBois Central Catholic in the District 9 Class A quarterfinals.

Seniors Karli Duffee and Kayla Bohn led the way in the final home game of their careers. Cowburn added 11 points, while leading the Lady Falcons with six rebounds.

Miller Hopkins led the Lady Cardinals with 12 points. The win gives defending district champion Coudersport a berth in the PIAA playoffs for the ninth straight season and puts the Lady Falcons into the semifinals on Tuesday against West Forest at a site and time to be announced.
