PITTSBURGH – WPIAL champion Sewickley Academy outscored District 9’s fourth-place team North Clarion 27-5 in the second quarter on its way to an 81-64 win over the Wolves Friday night at North Hills High School.

North Clarion trailed by just two, 18-16, at the end of the first quarter but found itself down 45-21 at halftime.

Tom Droney had 30 points to lead Sewickley Academy while Jeremy Schmader led North Clarion with 22 points. Chad Wolbert and Steve Hargenrader each added 14 points for the Wolves.
