NORTH EAST – The Bradford Owls
won their second straight road game Saturday afternoon defeating North East 57-50. A balanced scoring attack and an excellent
defensive effort were keys to the victory. “I thought our guys played an outstanding
game today against a good, solid team,” Bradford head coach Dave Fuhrman said. “We spaced the floor, moved the
ball well, and knocked down some big shots. We also did a good job defensively of challenging shots and
forcing turnovers.” The Owls were hot from three-point land
hitting on 7 of 16 compared to only 4 of 21 for the Pickers. Mike White and Evan Kline led a balanced
scoring attack with 11 points each for Bradford. “We look like we are getting much more
comfortable especially on the offensive end in the last two games,” Fuhrman said. “We are getting contributions
from a lot of people.” The Owls are now 3-1 on the season and head
into league play Tuesday at the unbeaten St. Marys Dutch. “St. Marys is an experienced team with a
lot of scoring punch and should be one of the top teams in our league,” Fuhrman said. “Hopefully, we can
continue to improve and play with confidence as we head into league play.” BRADFORD 57, NORTH EAST 50 Bradford 17
