CRANBERRY - Geena Sneeringer poured in a game-high 33 points, including 18 in the second quarter alone, as West Forest held on to beat Cranberry 47-44 in a key KSAC-North contest at Cranberry.

West Forest (7-0 overall, 5-0 KSAC) led 41-40 with 1:22 remaining before sophomore forward Rachel Greathouse connected on a layup for a three point lead. Seconds later, Cranberry (5-1, 3-1) cut the lead to one again, as junior forward Hannah Heeter, who had a monster game of her own with 21 points and 10 rebounds, scored to make it 43-42.

Greathouse connected on two free throws with 31 seconds left to push the lead back to three, 45-42. The Berries again had a quick answer, as Chyanne Shuffstall scored with 18 seconds to play.

On their next trip to the line, West Forest's Erica Blum was unable to connect, but Amanda Carll snagged the offensive rebound and nailed both free throws to seal the victory.

The two teams play again January 16 at West Forest.
