By Justin Skiba STRATTANVILLE – The Clarion-Limestone Lions got back on the winning
track with a convincing 63-38 victory over visiting Redbank Valley
Friday night. C-L (6-3 overall, 5-2 KSAC-North) raced out to a 16-3 lead after the first
quarter. Jaye Dulavitch scored eight out of his 14 points in that first quarter. "Our intensity level was there tonight which we have been working
on", C-L head coach Joe Ferguson said. "Our full court pressure worked very well tonight." Redbank (4-7 overall, 3-4 KSAC South) was 13 of 25 from the foul line
while C-L was only 1 for 4. C.J. Hesdon led the way for the Lions with 16 points and 10 steals, while leading the
way for the Bulldogs was Giovanni Monteleone with 15 points. "Give all the credit to C-L,” Redbank Valley coach Patrick Craig
said. “They came full-man pressure and it was very difficult to break that. That was the best pressure defense we
have seen all year." C-L also won the junior varsity game 42-34. Billy Kelly led C-L with
10 points while Zack Dubia and AJ McCrea each added nine points apiece. C-L will travel to Union on Monday while Redbank will entertain Brookville
the same night. CLARION-LIMESTONE 63, REDBANK 38 Score by Quarters Redbank 3 11 10 12 - 36 CL 16 16 10 21 - 63 Redbank - 38 Bain 0 4-4 4, M.
