MARIENVILLE – Kelsey Rini had 22 points, 16 rebounds, four steals, two blocked shots and one assist to lead East Forest to a 60-53 win over A-C Valley in KSAC girls’ basketball action Monday night. East Forest (3-5 overall, 2-3 KSAC-North) won despite shooting just 26.7 percent (19 of 71) from the field and committing 25 turnovers. Rebounding played a huge role in the victory, as East Forest outrebounded A-C Valley (2-5, 1-4 KSAC-South) 52-34 including 25-17 on the offensive end. The Lady Falcons also managed to shoot worse than East Forest connecting on 20.5 percent of its shots (16 of 78). Sophomore Megan Cratty led A-C Valley with 20 points, while Mikyla Denchke added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Oliver added 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals for East Forest, and Erica Long had 13 points, six boards, two steals and a blocked shot.
