CURWENSVILLE – West Branch hit its first four shots including a pair of 3-pointers by Roni Crowell and never looked back on its way to a 54-30 win at Curwensville in girls’ basketball action Monday night.

The Lady Warriors (5-1) used the fast start to take an early 10-2 lead and expanded that lead to 20-7 at the end of the first quarter and 30-10 with 3:48 left in the first half.

Turnovers hurt Curwensville (0-5) early, as the Lady Tide were guilty of eight giveaways in the first quarter. Curwensville also shot just 24.5 percent (13 of 53) from the field.

Jada Larson paced West Branch with 18 points, while Crowell, Victoria Jarrett and Rebecca Kephart each added nine points

Alesia Bressler and Savannah Strickland led Curwensville with six tallies apiece, and Hannah Walls had five.
