TIDIOUTE – Shane Silvis led a balanced scoring attack with a career-high 16 points and 17 rebounds to help East Forest to a 52-48 win at Tidioute Charter Friday night.

Three other players reached double figures for the Bears with Tyler Andring, Zach Miller and Bill Richter each recording 10 points. Andring also pulled down eight rebounds, and Miller added six steals.

Tidioute Charter made two long 3-pointers, one at the end of the first quarter and one at the end of the half, to build a 29-24 halftime lead. But East Forest outscored Tidioute Charter 13-6 in the third quarter to take a 37-35 lead, and the advantage expanded to as much as nine points in the fourth quarter before the final score was settled.

“Our defense stepped it up in the third quarter,” East Forest head coach Randy Andring said.  

East Forest returns to action on Saturday for a make-up game at Brockway starting at 10:30 a.m.
