KANE – Ren Yonker scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Johnsonburg to a 63-57 win at Kane Monday night.
The game was tight throughout with Johnsonburg (11-4 overall, 6-0 AML-North) using a 17-9 second-quarter advantage to take a 26-20 halftime lead before Kane (10-7, 3-3) cut the deficit to three, 40-37, at the end of three quarters.
The Wolves were still within two with 1:22 to play before Johnsonburg, which had already clinched the AML-North title, was able to hold on for the win.
Matt Shuey added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Rams, while Seth Streich had 13 points and six boards.
Kane stats were not available.
