EMPORIUM – Cameron County’s Dan Sullivan scored his 1,000th career point while netting 26 points in a 66-39 win over visiting Northern Potter Tuesday night. Sullivan entered the night needing 20 points to become the eighth player in school history, and he scored 18 in the first half helping the Red Raiders take a 33-24 lead at halftime. It didn’t take much time after halftime for Sullivan to reach the magic number, as Jarek Holjencin set him up for a 3-pointer that gave him 1,001 career tallies. Jason Blose added 11 points, including seven in the first half, and grabbed nine rebounds for Cameron County, while Donald Catalone had eight points, seven steals and six assists. Chris Palys led Northern Potter with 19 points. NOTES – Sullivan, who hit five 3-pointers in the game, now has 1,006 career points and is 29 points behind Jeff Lloyd for eight in school history in scoring … Cameron County outscored Northern Potter 33-15 in the second half.
