PORT ALLEGANY – Jenna Matzinger scored nine of her 20 points in the first quarter, and Maureen McCusker added 14 points to lead the Coudersport Lady Falcons to their 15th consecutive win with a 61-46 victory at Port Allegany Thursday evening.

Behind Matzinger’s nine points, Coudersport (17-2 overall, 11-0 NTL) built a 21-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter and coasted the rest of the way.

Coudersport had a good game on the boards with Matzinger and McCusker each grabbing six rebounds, while Delanie Cowburn and Stephanie Kelley led the Lady Falcons with seven boards a piece. Kayla Bohn chipped in six assists and six steals.

Amarae Reinard led Port Allegany (8-11, 5-7) with 14 points.

Coudersport won’t have too much time to rest, as the continued their stretch of four games in six days with a home contest with Smethport Friday.

Port Allegany returns to action Monday at Otto-Eldred.
