Armagost scores 1,000th career points for Moniteau

WEST SUNBURY – Tyler Armagost became the sixth player in Moniteau boys’ basketball history to score 1,000 career points when he netted 12 in a 59-58 win over visiting A-C Valley Thursday night giving him 1,002 in his career.

Armagost’s teammate Zach Sloan made sure it was a completely happy experience by sinking two free throws with 11 seconds left to give the Warriors the victory.

Armagost added 14 rebounds to give him 983 in his career and was one of three Moniteau players to record double-doubles in the win.

Sloan finished with 16 points and 18 rebounds, while freshman Kyle Armagost, Tyler’s brother, added 24 points and 10 assists.

Sophomore Allan Eaton paced A-C Valley with his 15th double-double on the season and his 12th in 14 games scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
