KARNS CITY – Ashley Campbell became the eighth player in Karns City girls’ basketball
history and the fifth this decade to record 1,000 career points when she dropped in 26 in a 50-48 win over visiting
Keystone Thursday night.
Campbell came into the night needing 16 points and easily surpassed the mark finishing the
evening with 1,010 career tallies, only 11 shy of Gina Andreassi for seventh-place in school history.
Campbell, who is averaging 19.6 ppg on the year, has averaged 24.4 ppg over her last 10
contests.
Molly Wise paced Keystone with 17 points while Sam Schwabenbauer added 10 points, five assists
and seven rebounds.
