TIONESTA – Geena Sneeringer, Amanda Carll and Grace Wallace combined to score 53 points, as No. 2 seed West Forest cruised to an opening-round 77-34 win over No. 15 Ridgway in the District 9 Class A girls’ basketball playoffs Tuesday night at West Forest.

Sneeringer and Carll each netted 18 points, Carll’s tying a season-high, with Wallace chipping in 17 points, her second-highest total of the year.

West Forest (20-3) led 22-11 at the end of the first quarter and 46-17 at halftime.

Olivia Horning led Ridgway with nine points, while Nicole Breier chipped in eight.

West Forest will now play KSAC-North rival Clarion in the quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Lady Indians beat the Lady Cats twice this year including just last week at West Forest.
