ERIE – Lindsay Stamp and Amanda Berchtold combined to score 27 points to lead Mercyhurst Prep to a 53-37 win over Punxsutawney in the PIAA Class AAA girls’ basketball play-in game Tuesday night at Mercyhurst Prep.

Stamp scored a team-high 14 points with Berchtold adding 13, and Mercyhurst Prep had nine different players reach the scoreboard in getting the time.

Jenna Reitz led Punxsutawney (12-13) with 15 points on five 3-pointers while Shawnna Crago chipped in 12 points including going 8 of 15 from the free-throw line.

Mercyhurst Prep (22-4) led 27-20 at halftime and then outscored Punxsutawney 14-8 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
