CLARION – The inaugural Alice R. Kozel Foundation golf scramble will be held at Clarion Oaks Country Club on June 11 starting at noon. Teams will be made up of four players at $70 apiece. Players receive a cart, 18 holes of golf, beverages and dinner along with various prizes. "We're doing this because we think a lot of people that have been involved with this event are interested in helping keep this going,” Kozel Game Co-Chairman Rich Rhoades said. “Plus, this gives the District 9 basketball community a good reason to get together over the summer and have some fun outside of the basketball environment.” The event will be co-sponsored by D9Sports.com. “This just seemed like a natural fit,” D9Sports.com co-editor Chris Rossetti said. “We have been very involved in the basketball game that last 10 years, and the golf scramble will hopefully turn into the primary fundraiser for the game.” Interested teams/golfers should contact Rhoades at 814-648-0790 or e-mail Rhoades or Rossetti at d9sports@usachoice.net. |
