At DuBois, the WPIAL (District 7) runner-up blanked the Bisons and improved to 17-4. Clearfield finished the year at 10-7-2.
Class A Boys
Seton-LaSalle 4, Northern Potter 1
At DuBois, Northern Potter fell to defending state champion Seton-LaSalle and finished the year with a 15-6-2 record. Seton-LaSalle, the third seed out of the WPIAL, improved to 16-7.
Class AAA Girls
Peters Township 6, DuBois 0
At Brockway, the Lady Beavers were shut out by last yearÕs state finalist, Peters Township, this yearÕs WPIAL runner-up. DuBois finished at 13-7-1 while Peters Township improved to 19-2-2.
Class AA Girls
Beaver 4, Karns City 0
At Brockway, the Lady Gremlins were shut out by the WPIAL fourth seed Beaver. Karns City finished the year at 12-7-1 while Beaver improved to 17-2.

Championship Games
Class AA Boys
Clearfield 2, St. Marys 0
At Brockway, the Bisons scored two goals in the first half to capture the district title.
Nicholas Walker scored both goals for Clearfield (11-6-2), which will advance to TuesdayÕs opening round of the PIAA playoffs against the third seed from the WPIAL, either Chartiers Valley or West Allegheny.
St. Marys finished the year at 11-7-2.

Class AAA Girls
DuBois 1, Bradford 0
At Brockway, the Lady Beavers captured their third district title as junior Alyssa Sciremammano scored the gameÕs only goal in the 19th minute.
It was the second straight year
that DuBois (13-6-1) won the title with a 1-0 victory. Last year, the Lady
Beavers beat Clearfield. Next up for DuBois is the first round of the PIAA
playoffs on Tuesday against the second seeed from the WPIAL (District 7),
either Seneca Valley or Peters Township.
Class AA Girls
Karns City 4, Elk County Catholic 2
At DuBois, Karns City scored three goals in the first 20 minutes of the game and held on to beat Elk County Catholic.
Nicole Harmon scored twice for the Lady Gremlins, her second goal coming with 3:05 remaining in the game to set the final after ECC had rallied to within one goal before the end of the first half.
Alyssa King scored just 1:57 into the game, and Harmon and Millie McKain added goals to build a quick lead for the Lady Gremlins. But ECC scored twice in the final 10 minutes of the first half on goals by Emily Detsch on a penalty kick and Megan Dornisch.
Karns City (12-6-1), which won its 11th title in 12 years, opens the PIAA playoffs on Tuesday at a site and time to be announced against the fourth seed from the WPIAL (District 7), either Center or Beaver.
ECC finished at 17-3-1.

Class AA Boys
St. Marys 2, Punxsutawney 1,
St. Marys wins shootout 3-1
At DuBois in the completion of MondayÕs suspended game in overtime, second-seeded St. Marys needed to win a shootout, 3-1 to advance.
The Dutch (11-6-2) scored on their first three shootout attempts by Jonathan Quinn, Nathan Hansen and Jake Reed. Kody Young scored the lone penalty kick for the Chucks, who were playing in their first postseason game.
Monday, the Chucks (8-7-1) forced overtime when sophomore Daniel Triponey scored with 4:59 off a Hunter Tibbs pass. St. Marys scored first when Jacob Geist set up QuinnÕs goal with 24:02 left in the second half. The game was suspendede because of darkness with 11:37 left in the first overtime period and resumed in DuBois the next night.
Class AAA Girls
DuBois 6, Punxsutawney 0
At DuBois, the Lady Beavers earned a trip to the finals and will try to win their third straight championship.
DuBois scored three goals in the first 8:22 and cruised to an easy victory, its third of the year against Punxsutawney. Alyssa Sciremammano scored two goals, Morgan Hanna scored twice and assisted on Alexa BallÕs score. Gwen Michaux scored the teamÕs final goal in the second half. Allison Gilmore, Kayla Bishop and Jenna Smith all made assists.
DuBois (12-6-1) outshot Punxsutawney, 26-2.
Bradford 1, Clearfield 0, 2 OT
At Bradford, the second-seeded Lady Owls got a goal from Kate Visbisky on an assist from Nicole Teriberry in the second overtime to beat third-seeded Clearfield.
The Lady Owls (10-9) will now face DuBois in ThursdayÕs final in Brockway.
Class AA Girls
Karns City 2, Brookville 0
At Brookville on the same field they lost 5-0 to the Lady Raiders 12 days ago, Karns City avenged that loss and another regular-season loss to top-seeded Brookville and earned a trip to the district finals.
After a scoreless first half, Millie McKain set up two Karns City goals, the first by Emily Olszak just 1:37 into the second half and the second by Emily Potchak at the 25:44 mark.
Fourth-seeded Karns City improved to 11-6-1 while BrookvilleÕs season ended at 17-3.
Elk County Catholic 3, Curwensville 0
The second-seeded Lady Crusaders scored twice in the first half within a span of 6:36 as they cruised to a shutout win of third-seeded Curwensville.
Junior Hanna McGowan scored twice. Her first goal made it 2-0 in the first half when she knocked in a rebound off a shot from Abbi Petroski, who scored the first goal of the game. Petroski added a second assist on McGowanÕs second goal 5:39 into the second half.
ECC (17-2-1) outshot Curwensville (12-5-2), 14-2.
Class A Boys
Northern Potter 2, Brockway 0
Sixth-seeded Northern Potter shut out the third-seeded Rovers for just the second time this season with a solid defensive effort than landed them in the district finals.
Brett ReedÕs shot from over 30 yards with 12:38 left in the first half and Spencer EastonÕs goal off a rebound on a shot by Dalton Grimes was all the offense that the Panthers needed as they improved to 14-5-2.
BrockwayÕs season ended at 15-4.
Karns City 1, Coudersport 0
At Karns City, the top-seeded Gremlins got the gameÕs only goal from Eric McCue less than three minutes into the game and made it stand up as they advanced to the championship game with a shutout of the visiting Falcons.
The Gremlins improved to 17-1-1 while Coudersport finished at 15-5.

Class AA Boys
Clearfield 4, Bradford 2
At Clearfield, Kurt Graham scored twice and Elliott Woolridge scored another as the top-seeded Bisons also got an own-goal that deflected off an Owls defender.
Clearfield (9-6-2) led 2-0 at halftime before Bradford made it 2-1 on Colton BlyÕs goal off a Richard Obermeyer assist just 15 seconds into the second half, but the Bisons scored the next two goals to put the game away.
Bradford (6-11-2) got its second goal from Cody Nuzzo off an assist from Bly.
Punxsutawney-St. Marys suspended
At
St. Marys with the score tied at 1-1 with 11:37 left in the first overtime
period, officials suspended the game because of darkness. The game will be
resumed tonight at DuBois Area High School starting at 6 p.m. prior to the
DuBois-Punxsutawney Class AAA girlsÕ semifinal game that begins at 7 p.m.

Class AA Girls
Brookville 5, Ridgway 0
Alyssa Byerly scored three goals as the top-seeded Lady Raiders advanced with a win over the ninth-seeded Lady Elkers at Brockway in a game moved from Brookville because of poor field conditions.
Jordan Mason scored off her own corner kick and Markelle Matthews deflected in a corner kick by Kaitlyn Hill as Brookville improved to 17-2.
Ridgway finished the year at 7-11-1.
Karns City 2, Forest Area 1
Emily
Olszak scored the game-winning goal and broke a 1-1 tie with 2:54 left in the
game as the fourth-seeded Lady Gremlins escaped Forest AreaÕs upset bid.
Millie
McKain scored three minutes into the game for Karns City (11-6-1), but Forest
got the tying goal at the 26:09 mark of the second half.
The
Lady Gremlins outshot Forest, 20-4.
Elk County Catholic 6, Brockway 0
Abbi Petrosky and Hanna McGowan each scored two goals to lead the second-seeded Lady Crusaders (16-2-1) to a shutout win over 10th-seeded Brockway.
McGowan scored both of her goals in the first half as ECC built a 4-0 lead by intermission. Petrosky assisted on Jena StrubleÕs goal to start the scoring and she scored ECCÕs fourth goal of the first half. Emily Detsch and Struble assisted on McGowanÕs goals.
In the second half, Petrosky and Elli Petrosky scored off assists from Detsch and Struble.
Brockway, coming off its first playoff win in program history against Clarion, finished at 7-11-2.
Curwensville 1, DuBois Central Catholic 0
Sara
GeislerÕs goal with 1:15 left in the first half lifted the third-seeded Lady
Golden Tide to a shutout win over the sixth-seeded Lady Cardinals.
Freshman
Macey Woodel set up the gameÕs only goal with an assist. Curwensville outshot
DCC, 14-7. Tide goalkeeper Tiffany Carter made four saves.
Class A Boys
Brockway 4, Elk County Catholic 3, OT
Freshman Philip Esposito scored three goals and set up teammate Michael Britton for the game-winning goal with five minutes left in the first overtime period as the second-seeded Rovers beat the seventh-seeded Crusaders in a third tight matchup this season.
Brockway (15-3) led 2-0 on two straight Esposito goals set up by Ben Rossi, but ECC scored the next three goals from Ben Nguyen in the first half and two by Eric Wehler to take a 3-2 lead with 15 minutes left in regulation.
But the Rovers tied it at 3-3 when Esposito kicked in a rebound off a Craig Inzana shot with nine minutes left in regular time.
Elk County Catholic finished the year at 11-7-2.
Northern Potter 3, Smethport 2
Josh KnauerÕs game-winning goal propelled the Panthers to a win over the Hubbers at Bradford.
Dalton Grimes and Andrew Morgan also scored for NoPo, which improved to 13-5-2. Chris Healy and Bryan Nelson found the net for Smethport (13-4-1).
Karns City 6, DuBois Central Catholic 0
Eric
McCue scored three more goals to increase his season total to 50 as the
top-seeded Gremlins dispatched the ninth-seeded Cardinals.
Justin
Ryan, Ethan McGarvey and Ethan McGarvey also scored as the Gremlins improved to
16-1-1. The Gremlins outshot the Cardinals (10-9), 14-2. Nick Lopresti had two
assists.
Coudersport 2, Redbank Valley 0
In sloppy conditions, the fourth-seeded Falcons got goals from Dillan Wadsworth and Alex Renn to beat by fifth-seeded Redbank Valley.
WadsworthÕs goal came at the 27:16 mark of the first half and Renn scored with five minutes left in regulation.
The Falcons (15-4) advance to play top-seeded Karns City in the semifinals. Redbank Valley finished at 13-5.
Class AAA Boys
Altoona 2, DuBois 1, 2 OT
AltoonaÕs Josh Allender scored his second goal of the game 7:10 into overtime to lead the fifth-seeded Mountain Lions to a preliminary round win over fourth-seeded DuBois.
The Beavers (7-10-2) tied the game with 3:39 left in regulation when Phil Pompeii found the back of the net.
DuBois loss for the third time this year to Altoona, but this one was far closer than the first two. The Beavers lost to the Mountain Lions last week, 5-0.
Altoona (8-10) advances to the District 6-9 semifinals against top-seeded Hollidaysburg on Monday.

Class AA Girls
Brockway 2, Clarion 1
In just their second year of existence, the Lady Rovers won their first playoff game as the 10th seed in a win over the seventh-seeded Lady Cats at Clarion University.
Amanda Lindemuth scored two goals in the first half after Clarion got the gameÕs first goal from Ashley Stahlman.
The
win put the Lady Rovers (7-10-2) into the quarterfinals at second-seeded Elk
County Catholic. ClarionÕs season ended at 8-11.
Class A Boys
DuBois Central Catholic 2, Port Allegany 1,
DCC wins shootout 4-3
At Port Allegany, the ninth-seeded Cardinals needed a shootout to upend the eighth-seeded Gators.
Freshman goalkeeper Dan Leroy, filling in for injured starter Dan Fitzpatrick, gave the Cardinals the win in the best-of-five shootout when scored the fourth goal to clinch the game on DCCÕs final shot. Port misfired on two shots, one going wide left and another hitting the crossbar.
DCC (10-8) also got penalty shot goals from Joe McNally, Josh Zimmerly and Seth Gould. Port got goals from Ken Kysor, Kyle Conway and Ben Osani.
In regulation, Port got on the board first in the first half when Jon Binder headed in a throw-in from Osani.
The Cardinals tied it on McNallyÕs goal with 23 minutes left in regulation.
Leroy replaced Fitzpatrick in goal in the second half. Fitzpatrick was injured in a collision with a Port player.
According the Courier-Express, the game featured four yellow cards, 15 fouls and several injury stoppages.
Redbank Valley 3, Forest Area 0
Elk County Catholic 2, Brookville 1, 2 OT
At Kersey, Ben WortmanÕs 35-yard floater off a direct kick with 10:06 left in the second overtime gave the seventh-seeded Crusaders a hard-fought win over the defending champion Raiders, the 10th seed.
ECC (11-6-2) scored first when Jarid Schaut took a through-pass from Mitchell OÕNeill at the 24:47 mark of the first half.
Brookville tied it on a penalty kick by A.J. Moore with 18:24 left in regulation after the Crusaders were called for a hand-ball violation in the goalie box.
Northern Potter 2, Curwensville 1
Dalton Grimes scored twice in the second half to lead the sixth-seeded Panthers past visiting Curwensville.
Grimes first scored on a header off a corner kick by Andrew Morgan six minutes into the second half. His second goal came off a Josh Knaurer assist with 9:23 left in the game.

Class AA Girls
Ridgway 1, Port Allegany 0, 2 OT
The
ninth-seeded Lady Elkers get the game-winning goal from Rhianon Fowler eight
minutes into the second overtime. Ridgway (7-10-1) advances to ThursdayÕs
quarterfinals against top-seeded Brookville starting at 4 p.m.
