PIAA ANNOUNCES SECOND ROUND BASEBALL/SOFTBALL SITES

The sites and times for the PIAA baseball and softball second-round playoff games involving District 9 teams has been announced.

In Class A baseball, District 9 third-place finisher Elk County Catholic will take on D9 runner-up Cameron County at 4 p.m. Thursday (June 7) at St. Marys Berwind Park, while District 9 champion Johnsonburg will face District 7 runner-up California at 4 p.m. Thursday (June 7) at Slippery Rock University’s Jack Critchfield Park.

In Class AAA baseball, District 9 champion Punxsutawney faces District 6 champion Lewistown at Noon at Altoona’s Mansion Park Stadium.

In softball action, D9 Class A champion Curwensville takes on District 7 runner-up Vincentian at 4 p.m. Thursday (June 7) at IUP.
