SIX DISTRICT 9 PLAYOFF GAMES AT CLARION UNIVERSITY SATURDAY

CLARION – Clarion University’s Tippin Gym will be the site of six District 9 playoff games Saturday.

The day will start off with an 11 a.m. Class A girls’ consolation game between Clarion-Limestone and Elk County Catholic. That game will be followed by a 12:30 p.m. Class A boys’ consolation game between DuBois Central Catholic and Coudersport.

Championship game action is slated to start at 2 p.m. when Coudersport and Union square off in the Class A girls’ tilt. That game will be followed by a pair of Class AAA title games with Punxsutawney facing Bradford in the Class AAA girls’ contest at 4 p.m. and Bradford taking on St. Marys in the Class AAA boys’ title match-up at 6 p.m. The final game of the day will feature Keystone and Elk County Catholic in the Class A boys’ title game at 8 p.m.

One ticket is good for the entire day’s worth of games.

Counting the Class AA title contests Friday (Curwensville girls vs. Karns City at 6 p.m. and Kane boys vs. Smethport at 8 p.m.), Tipping Gym will be the site of eight playoff games in just over 24 hours.
