QUAKER STEAK & LUBE IN STATE COLLEGE TO SPONSOR GAMES

DUBOIS – Quaker Steak & Lube in State College will be the 2007 sponsor for the Alice R. Kozel Foundation District 9 boys’ and girls’ All-Star basketball games to be played March 31 at Penn State-DuBois.

“It is a real pleasure to be able to sponsor these games through my restaurant,” Larry Salone, found of the Kozel Foundation and owner of the restaurant, said. “Quaker Steak & Lube has a tradition of great food, great fun and, of course, a great history of supporting local schools and events. The Kozel games seemed like a natural for our restaurant.”

As part of the sponsorship, Quaker Steak & Lube is also slated to cater the All-Star game luncheon, which is tentatively set for March 31 at a site and time to be determined. The restaurant will also be sponsoring all player outfitting and some of the game events.

“All in all it should provide players, coaches, referees and fans a complete day of fun,” Salone said.
